Ingredients
  

  • ½ cup rolled oats
  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 scoop vanilla or unflavored protein powder
  • 1 small banana (optional, for sweetness)
  • 1 tsp honey or maple syrup (optional)
  • ¼ tsp cinnamon (optional)
  • 4-5 ice cubes
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds or flaxseeds (optional)

Instructions
 

  • For a smoother texture, soak the oats in almond milk for five minutes.
  • In a blender, combine the banana, protein powder, almond milk, oats, and any additional ingredients.
  • Process on high speed until creamy and smooth.
  • If necessary, taste and adjust the sweetness.
  • Pour into a large glass and start drinking right away.

Notes

For a smoother mixing, soak steel-cut oats overnight or briefly boil them beforehand.
